Orthodontic Laboratory Manager – £50,000–£55,000 + Bonus | Full-Time | Greater Manchester

We’re seeking an experienced Orthodontic Lab Manager with 3D printing and orthodontics experience to lead a small, growing laboratory. Join a modern lab producing aligners, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances using the latest 3D printing technology.
 

Position Details:

  • Role: Orthodontic Laboratory Manager

  • Location: Greater Manchester (on-site)

  • Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 40 hrs per week

  • Salary: £50,000–£55,000 + performance-related bonus

  • Practice Type: Orthodontic laboratory

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the orthodontic laboratory

  • 3D printing of models and production of retainers and aligners

  • Trimming, cutting, and finishing aligners and retainers

  • Scanning import/export to ortho systems (e.g. iTero, DeltaFace)

  • Maintain full and accurate laboratory records

  • Ensure correct materials are used for each appliance

  • Package and prepare appliances for delivery

  • Order materials and manage stock control

  • Oversee lab processes, invoicing, and client communications

  • Provide clinicians with technical advice and support when required

Requirements:

  • GDC registration (essential)

  • Proven experience in orthodontics and 3D printing (must-have)

  • Previous experience managing a dental or orthodontic lab

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a small team

  • High attention to detail and strong manual dexterity

  • Positive, driven, and motivated with a strong work ethic

  • High-level qualification (BSc, HND, or equivalent)

  • IT proficiency and familiarity with iTero and DeltaFace 3D printing systems preferred
